Welcome to Cuero Intermediate School Library Wiki! 

  The library sponsors outstanding programs to enhance reading and build excitement to promote life long reading among our students.  Students can take advantage of these programs either as an individual, during their reading class time, or by class invite.

    The individual programs that any student can take advantage of are:

Book Blogger, Give Them a Hand, AR Goal Makers and Read to Succeed.

   Reading Class time reading programs are:  In-Tent(s) Reading and Book It. 

   Programs that are offered by class invitation only are: Wii Morning, Karaoke Morning,  Breakfast and Books,and Early Bird Reading. These are done starting at 7:30 am-8:00am in the library.

The library coordinates  Read To Succeed Reading Program in conjunction with Six Flags Theme Park and Book It with Pizza Hut.

  The Book Blogger program is a huge success with the students. With each book report form they fill out (found in the library) a FREE slush coupon is given that they can redeem in the school cafeteria. This is done in conjunction with the Food Service Department within our district. Their name also goes in for a drawing for a gift certificate from Hastings Book Store.

  During the month of February the library has a Family Incentive Reading Program. A drawing  is held each Friday afternoon with a grand prize given on the last Friday of the month for those students participating. 

  The library will have one book fair this year.  Our Fall fair date is November 9-13, 2011.
